Tree pose (Vrksasana) fuels my soul and always helps me find balance in so many aspects of life. This pose is known for helping you find better balance, as well as enhancing endurance, agility and alertness.
How to Get Into the Pose
Stand up tall, with your big toes touching. Bring your palms to touch in front of you in a prayer position at your heart. Find a still focus point to focus your gaze on. Slowly begin by lifting your right foot off the ground, keeping your toes grounded and your heel to touch the inside of the left leg. Stay here, or continue when you are ready. Lift the right foot and place the sole of the right foot as high up on the inside of the left leg as you can. Keep you hands in prayer at heart's center, place on your hips or if you feel ready, grow your tree, raising your hands out and high.
