Mountain pose (Tadasana) seems very basic, but in fact is it quite profound. It can improve posture and stability, as well as provide grounding and increase confidence.
How to Get Into the Pose
Stand up tall, with your big toes touching. Turn upper thighs slightly inward, and lengthen your tailbone towards the ground. Draw your shoulder blades back and down. Hang your arms by your side, with your hands facing forward. Close your eyes. Hold for one minute, breathing easily.
